The Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance invites you to attend the “Mental Health Matters” forum, a vital community event focused on critical mental health issues in the Tri-Valley region. Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Rosewood Commons Conference Center in Pleasanton.

This half-day forum will feature leading experts in mental health, including:

  • Dr. Thomas Insel: Former Director of the National Institute of Mental Health, he will discuss mental health policy and community solutions.
    Alex Briscoe: Co-founder of the California Children’s Trust, he will provide insights on California’s mental health policies.
    Dr. Karyn Tribble: Alameda County Director of Public Health, she will cover mental health trends specific to our region.

The forum will also include a panel discussion with local mental health organizations: Axis Community Health, Mental Health Connections, Pleasanton ARU, and La Familia, covering vital topics such as services for children, seniors, veterans, and those affected by substance use and the criminal justice system.
