Dr. Curtis is the Founding Executive Director of Goodness Village, an innovative permanent supportive housing community serving formerly unhoused individuals in the Tri-Valley. Under her leadership, Goodness Village has developed a low-barrier, trauma-informed model that combines 28 tiny homes with 24/7 support services, onsite case management, mental health resources, and vocational programming to help residents heal, thrive, and maintain housing stability.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than two decades of experience, Dr. Curtis specializes in mental health, substance use disorders, trauma, and supportive housing. Since becoming licensed in 2012, she has dedicated her career to serving chronically unhoused individuals with complex behavioral health needs, utilizing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and harm reduction approaches to support long-term recovery and housing stability. Dr. Curtis earned her Doctor of Human Services degree with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Management. Her doctoral research examined best practices in permanent supportive housing for chronically unsheltered individuals with severe mental health disorders, directly informing the innovative work being done at Goodness Village. She is also a member of NAMI Tri-Valley’s Advisory Board.
