May 2026 General Meeting - Axis Community Health

We are very pleased to have Liz Perez-Howe, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Axis Community Health, as our May General Meeting guest speaker. She will provide an overview of Axis Community Health and their services, including the Mental Health Urgent Care Program.

Axis Community Health provides affordable medical, dental, and mental health services to residents in the Tri-Valley area. They offer comprehensive care regardless of insurance, utilizing a sliding scale fee for eligible low-income patients and assisting with Medi-Cal, Medicare, & Covered California enrollment.

Liz Perez-Howe started her career at Axis Community Health in 2013, when she became the Director of Clinic Operations; she then worked as the Chief Operating Officer and was selected as Axis’ new CEO in 2023. Liz earned her degree in Psychology at Southeastern University and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Georgia State University. She is dedicated to breaking down barriers to healthcare, advocating for policy changes, and forging partnerships with community organizations.
