will present information about

LPS Conservatorship in Alameda County.

The presentation will cover Lanterman, Petris, Short (LPS) Conservatorship and the programs

within it: LPS, Community Conservatorship and Murphy Conservatorship and about the process of

LPS conservatorship including how referrals are received, caseloads, general authority and the role

of a conservator.

Siobhan King, LCSW has been with Public Guardian in LPS and Probate and Intake units as a

worker and supervisor for 17 years now, and have an MSW and LCSW.

Kara Palmer, MBA, MA, APCC started in Behavioral Health in 2005. Transitioned to Alameda

County Public Guardian's Office as an LPS Conservator in 2015. Moved into Supervisory Role in

2019. Currently hold an MBA with emphasis Health Administration, MA in Counseling; APCC.
